About the Product
Introducing the Garmin Reactor 40 Autopilot Corepack for Volvo Penta with GHC50 Control — a steer-by-wire powerhouse designed to elevate your yachting experience. Built for Volvo Penta inboard performance systems and sterndrive joystick setups, this corepack pairs precision autopilot control with Garmin’s cutting-edge navigation ecosystem for confident, hands-free sailing and boating.
Overview
Featuring a solid-state 9-axis AHRS, the Reactor 40 can be mounted nearly anywhere, in any orientation. It consistently responds to sea conditions to hold your course even when you’re pitching or rolling, while consuming less power and reducing heading error. Calibration is fast and easy, so you’re on the water and on course in no time.
Key Benefits
- Steer-by-wire corepack designed for Volvo Penta inboard systems and sterndrive joystick configurations
- Advanced 9-axis AHRS enables flexible mounting and reliable attitude sensing
- Responds dynamically to sea conditions to maintain heading and course
- Low power consumption with minimized heading error for longer, more efficient trips
- Fast, easy commissioning and calibration to get you sailing quickly
Control & Compatibility
With compatible Garmin chartplotters or the GHC 50 autopilot instrument, you can control your autopilot from anywhere on the boat. The Reactor experience is enhanced by the GHC50 helm control display and is compatible with Reactor autopilot remotes and select quatix marine smartwatches (requires a compatible Garmin chartplotter or GHC 50 instrument).
Performance & Automation
When connected to a compatible Garmin chartplotter, Reactor 40 offers powerful sailing and powerboat features, including heading hold and step turns, plus wind hold and tack/jibe when paired with a wind sensor (sold separately). Additional capabilities include follow route and Auto Guidance+ for planning assistance. Note: Auto Guidance is for planning purposes and does not replace safe navigation operations.
