This eight-blade neoprene impeller delivers dependable flow in demanding marine and industrial environments. The spline drive paired with a brass insert ensures secure engagement and a precise fit in bronze flexible impeller pumps used for engine cooling, bilge, transfer and general purpose tasks. Replacement and maintenance are straightforward: replace all impellers at least once every year, or sooner depending on duty. When installation is correct, an impeller may last for several years, but a preventative maintenance schedule helps prevent failures. To replace, remove the end cover screws and extract the impeller using a Jabsco Impeller Removal Tool or channel-lock pliers to grip the hub; avoid screwdrivers to prevent damage. Always carry spare impellers on board. Grease the impeller before installation to ease fitting and protect during priming; after replacing the gasket and end cover, the pump is ready to use.
