Megaware SkegGuards deliver dependable protection for your outboard motor's skeg using marine-grade 316 stainless steel construction. The reinforced 3mm wear-tab shields against rocks, debris, and trailering damage while maintaining optimal performance. Installation takes just 10 minutes with basic tools - no marine technician required. These guards can be fitted over broken skegs with as little as 2 inches remaining, providing a cost-effective alternative to expensive welding repairs. The contoured design includes a strategic drain hole to prevent corrosion and freezing. Compatible with Mercury, Yamaha, Honda, Suzuki, and other major brands, each SkegGuard features self-locking hardware and comes backed by a three-year warranty.

Skeg Guard Installation Instructions:

Secured with self-locking hardware, installation takes less than 10 minutes. If your skeg is already broken, Megaware's SkegGuard can be installed with as little as 2 inches of skeg remaining.

Using a mallet (leather, rubber, or wooden), place the Megaware SkegGuard on the skeg and gently tap on it. Once in place, drive it on with the mallet until fully seated.
Using the two pre-drilled mounting holes in the SkegGuard as pilot holes, drill the skeg using a 1/4" drill bit.
Install the stainless steel hardware using the hex-key tools supplied with the product.
