Meet the Minn Kota DeckHand 40 — the compact, powerful bow anchor winch designed for hands-free anchoring with precision. It handles 20- to 40-pound anchors (anchor not included) and comes pre-spooled with 100 feet of 800-lb test rope, so you're ready to drop anchor and stay put in a breeze.
- Auto-drift feature automatically stops the motor when the anchor touches bottom (or hits an obstacle)
- Slack in the rope becomes tight and is automatically released to maintain steady tension
- Lock the winch with the touch of a button for secure stowage
- Universal davit can be mounted at the base of DeckHand or in a remote position on the boat deck; stows anchor horizontally to eliminate anchor swing
- Anchor shackle enables easy changeover from anchor to anchor
- Stow and deploy switch integrated into the base of the unit; corded remote stow/deploy switch (sold separately) lets you operate DH-40 from anywhere on the boat
- 12-volt battery operation for reliable power on the water
- Compatible with MKA-16-02 quick release bracket for easy removal for boat cover clearance or deck clearing during non-use (requires holes drilled in the top plate)
