How it works
When lightning is detected within 25 miles, the detector flashes all eight LEDs for 5 minutes to grab your attention. After 5 minutes, it switches to blinking every other LED for the remaining detection time, with color indicating proximity: Green for 25 miles, Blue for 16 miles, and Red for 6 miles. The audible alerts mirror the same distance cues—one, two, or three beeps—so you stay aware even in rough conditions.
