How it works
When lightning is detected within 25 miles, all 8 LEDs flash for 5 minutes to grab attention. To conserve power, after the initial alert the unit switches to a blinking pattern (every other LED) for the remaining detection window, with color changes matching the distance of the storm (green, blue, or red).
