LED indicators and detection behavior
When lightning is detected (up to 25 miles away), the detector will flash all 8 LEDs for 5 minutes. To conserve battery life, after 5 minutes the unit switches to blinking every other LED in the corresponding color (green, blue, or red) for the remainder of the detection period.
