Protect your boat from electrolytic corrosion with the Victron Galvanic Isolator VDI-16A. This compact, rugged device blocks low-voltage DC currents that can enter your vessel via the shore power earth wire, safeguarding underwater metals such as the hull, propeller, and shaft.
Designed for marine environments, the VDI-16A uses internally two anti-parallel diodes that conduct only above a threshold voltage of about 1.4 V DC. Under normal shore power conditions, this prevents galvanic currents from leaking through, while remaining capable of handling higher voltage events to preserve safety.
