Victron Isolation Transformer - 2000W - 115/230 VAC delivers a safety-first upgrade for any shore power connection by providing true galvanic isolation between the marina supply and your vessel’s electrical system. This means you eliminate direct electrical continuity between shore power and the boat, dramatically reducing the risk of galvanic corrosion while preserving essential protection features.

Safety is built into the design: the isolation transformer breaks the link between the shore power ground and the boat, so fault currents cannot travel back through the hull. The shore power is fed to the primary side, while the boat is connected to the secondary, creating a completely isolated output. In the event of a short circuit or current leakage to ground, your onboard protection (fuse or GFCI) will respond on the secondary side.
Soft start is a standard feature of a Victron Energy isolation transformer. It minimizes inrush current when connecting to shore power, preventing nuisance fuse blows and protecting both the transformer and your boat’s electrical system.
Key benefits
- Provides up to 2000W of continuous power for marine electrical needs.
- Accepts 115/230 VAC shore power with fully isolated output for the boat.
- Eliminates galvanic corrosion by removing electrical continuity between shore power and the hull.
- By wiring the boat’s metal parts to the secondary neutral, a short or ground fault will trip the boat’s protective devices (fuse or GFCI).
- Soft-start feature protects on-shore circuits from inrush and extends equipment life.
