Victron Orion-TR 24/24-17A is a compact, isolated DC-DC converter that securely converts 24 VDC to 24 VDC with galvanic isolation. Delivering up to 400 W (17 A) of continuous output current, it can be paralleled with an unlimited number of units to scale output as needed. The remote On/Off terminal lets you control the converter from a low-current switch or engine run/stop system, eliminating the need for a high-current input switch.
All Orion-TR models are short-circuit proof and can be paralleled to increase output current. They feature high temperature protection, with output current reducing at higher ambient temperatures to protect the unit. IP43 protection is provided when installed with the screw terminals oriented downward. Screw terminals offer tool-free installation, and an input fuse (not replaceable) is included on 12 V and 24 V input models.
Adjustable output versatility is built in: set the output between 20 and 30 V for flexible usage, with a nominal output of 24.2 V and tight regulation (±0.2 V). Output noise is low at 2 mV rms, ensuring clean power for sensitive electronics. Note: this model is not intended for battery charging; for charging applications, consider the Orion-Tr Smart family.
