Victron Orion-TR Smart 12/12-30A is an isolated DC-DC charger and power supply designed for boats, RVs, and vehicles with smart alternators. It can act as a battery charger or fixed-voltage supply while protecting the starter battery and delivering reliable power to auxiliary systems.
- Isolated DC-DC design: Provides independent charging and power supply with isolation to protect the starter battery and accommodate separate auxiliary battery banks.
- High-power output: 360 W nominal (30 A at 12 V) with short-term peaks near 30 A for demanding loads.
- Bluetooth Smart Enabled: Use the VictronConnect app to monitor, adjust settings, and receive updates.
- Adaptive 3-Stage Charge Algorithm: For lead-acid batteries: Bulk – Absorption – Float with shortened absorption for shallow discharges and extended absorption after deep discharge; for lithium batteries: fixed absorption time (default 2 hours); fixed output voltage option available.
- Smart Alternator Compatibility: Engine running detection ensures charging occurs only when appropriate; compatible with Euro 5/6 smart alternators.
- Remote On/Off: Supports a two-pole remote switch or relay; you can switch either battery plus (H terminal) or battery minus/chassis (L terminal).
- Paralleling Capability: Short circuit proof and can be paralleled to increase output current without a limit on the number of units.
- Protection & Durability: High temperature protection automatically reduces output at high ambient temperatures; IP43 protection when screw terminals are oriented downward.
- Easy Installation: Screw terminals require no special tools; input fuse is included as a non-replaceable safety feature.
- Engine Shutdown Detection: Built-in detector stops the converter when the engine is not running, preventing starter battery discharge.
